Limousin, Lim‑Flex Parade in Kansas City
The American Royal Limousin Show was Oct. 18 in Kansas City, Mo. The American Royal is one of the North American Limousin Foundation’s (NALF’s) four major Medal of Excellence (MOE) shows.
In the Lim‑Flex® show, judge Chad Breeding of Miami, Texas, evaluated 21 females and nine bulls. He then sorted 43 Limousin females and eight Limousin bulls.
In the Limousin bull show, DVFC Sitting Bull won the grand champion banner after winning Division 5. Deer Valley Farm, Fayetteville, Tenn., and P&D Ranch, Grandview, Texas, own the Sept. 26, 2005, son of EXLR Native 7133N.
The reserve grand champion Limousin bull was EXLR Rodeo Drive 743R, the Division 6 champion. The March 17, 2005, son of LESF Asphalt 9N belongs to Tubmill Creek Farms, New Florence, Pa., and Express Ranches, Yukon, Okla.
MAGS Shari, the winner of Division 5, went on to claim the title of grand champion Limousin female. Kelvin Moreno, Miami, Fla., owns the Jan. 10, 2006, daughter of GPFF Blaque Rulon.
MAGS Solaris followed her win in Division 4 by claiming reserve grand champion Limousin female. Deer Valley Farm and Magness Land and Cattle, Platteville, Colo., own the May 17, 2006, daughter of GPFF Blaque Rulon.
Grand champion honors in the Lim‑Flex bull show went to EF Smack Down 764S, the Division 2 winner and a March 1, 2006, son of EF Main Stay 541M out of M L Prudence 427. Etherton Farms, Dawson, Ill.; Magness Land and Cattle; and Counsil Family Limousin, Madisonville, Texas, own him.
Express Ranches and Spring Creeks Cattle Co., Wauzeka, Wis., own the reserve grand champion Lim‑Flex bull. EXLR Review 273R, a Sept. 15, 2005, son of LESF Asphalt 9N out of EXLR Lim‑Flex 50 7316 M, first won Division 3.
AUTO Rebeca 292S came from Division 2 to win grand champion Lim‑Flex female. Pinegar Limousin, Springfield, Mo., owns the Oct. 3, 2006, daughter of LESF Asphalt 9N out of EXLR Rebeca 1019P.
MAGS Topless claimed reserve grand champion Lim‑Flex female for Magness Land and Cattle and Milton and David Bratton, Austin, Ark. The Division 1 winner is a Jan. 1, 2007, daughter of G A R Integrity out of MAGS Marquee.
Express Ranches claimed the Premier Breeder honors. Magness Land and Cattle was the Premier Exhibitor.
In the juniors’ female show, judge Jerry Adamson of Cody, Neb., selected MAGS Snow White – a May 24, 2006, daughter of Carrousels Pure Power – as grand champion from among 27 entries. Austen Etherton, Dawson, Ill., led her from the Division 2 championship. AUTO Miss Gateway 287S – a Sept. 10, 2006, daughter of CLLL New Direction 394P – was reserve grand champion and Division 1 champion for Cody Heavin, Springfield, Mo.
