Regional Limousin Show Entries Due May 1

The Western Limousin Exposition (WLE) opens June 14 this year, and the Southeast Summer Classic (SSC) begins the next day. The WLE marks its second year in Klamath Falls, Ore.; and the Southeastern Limousin Breeders Association (SELBA) again will host the SSC in Murfreesboro, Tenn.

Alan Sears, Loveland, Colo., will sort the open-show cattle at the WLE; and Jared Shipman, Lockney, Texas, will judge the junior show. The SSC has not confirmed its judges yet.

Entries for both Medal of Excellence (MOE) shows are due to the North American Limousin Foundation (NALF) by May 1. For more information, call NALF at (303) 220-1693. Or visit its Internet home page (www.nalf.org) and click the “Programs” link on the left. Dave Berry, (360) 769-0639, is the regional contact for the WLE. Jonathan Perry, (931) 433-1895, is the regional contact for the SSC.

The North American Limousin Foundation (www.nalf.org), headquartered in Centennial, Colo., provides programs and services – including genetic evaluation of 5,000 active sires – to nearly 4,000 members and their commercial customers. The Limousin breed and its Lim‑Flex® hybrid lead the beef industry in muscle-growth efficiency and ideally complement British breeds.
