Juniors Parade Top Steers, Lim-Flex® and Bred-and-Owned Females at 2012 National Junior Limousin Show and Congress

DENVER - (JULY 18, 2012) - North American Limousin Junior Association (NALJA) members exhibited their steers, Lim-Flex® and bred-and-owned females for judge Kevin Jensen, Courtland, Kan., on July 10, 2012 in Des Moines, Iowa. There were 40 Limousin-influenced steers, 117 Lim-Flex females and 27 bred-and-owned Limousin females exhibited.

 

Jensen selected AUTO Bette 266Y as the grand champion Lim-Flex female. She is a Sept. 1, 2011, daughter of LH U Haul 135U and was exhibited by Adam Griffith, Boonsboro, MD. Andrew Milam, Olmstead, Ky., exhibited the reserve grand champion Lim-Flex female, AUTO Mornin 214Y. She is a March 18, 2011, daughter of DHVO Trey 133R.

 

In the bred-and-owned Lim-Flex female show, grand champion honors were awarded to Chase Ratliff, Westphalia, Kan., showing CZRC Yazoo 159Y. She is a March 1, 2011 daughter of MAGS Undoing. Shelby Skinner, Bolivar, Mo., exhibited the reserve grand champion bred-and-owned Lim-Flex female, SHSK Born This Way. She is a Nov. 1, 2010, daughter of SEEE Uncontrolable.

 

The grand champion bred-and-owned female was awarded to Clay Schilling, Edson, Kan., with Schilling's Yashaswini. She is a March 16, 2011 daughter of DHVO Deuce 132R. Micaela Fosdick, Chenoa, Ill. exhibited the reserve grand champion bred-and-owned female, FC Young Dreams. She is a March 6, 2011, daughter of CJSL Windfall 9072W.

 

In the steer show Jensen selected Kody Baker, Altus, Okla., as exhibitor of the champion prospect steer with an 826-pound son of Monopoly. Jacob Keeton, Wolfforth, Texas, exhibited the reserve champion prospect steer, a 678-pound son of Monopoly.

 

Mara Anderson, Garner, Iowa, exhibited the champion progress steer with a 1,222-pound son of SPRNG CRKS Utah 010U. Kaitlyn Boyer, Weldon, Iowa, exhibited the reserve champion progress steer with a 1,306-pound steer.
